Library borrowing periods will continue as normal over the Easter vacation except for the closed Easter weekend.
No books will be due for return during the closed period.
Please be aware that books will be in high demand for GDL PfP2.
You cannot renew books if someone else has reserved them.
We are open from 8.30am to 10pm five days a week during term-time. At weekends, the library is open from 8.30am to 6pm, and will be staffed between 12 noon and 4pm.
Christmas Closure
The library will close on Monday 22nd Dec at 4.30pm (the LRC will close at 6pm). The LRC and Library will re-open on Friday 2nd Jan at 8.30am.
Due to the first year LLB Inductions taking place this week, the library will be closed to all GDL and LPC students on Thursday 2nd October from 9.45 – 11.30am.
If you are a regular library user we would be most grateful if you can make use of one of the IT rooms on the ground floor of the LRC and we will endeavour to open the library to all students at 11.30am sharp.
Until Sunday 27 July, the Library and LRC IT Rooms will be open as normal (8.30am – 10.00pm on weekdays, 8.30am until 6.00pm at weekends.)
From Monday 28 July to Friday 12 September, the following opening times will apply:

*During weekdays in August, the Library will be staffed between 10am and 3.30pm. The self-issue machine will be available at unstaffed periods.
LRC IT ROOMS
Monday to Friday – 8.30am – 6.00pm
Monday 25 August – CLOSED (Bank Holiday)
Weekends – CLOSED
Normal hours will resume from Saturday 13 September.
The Library & LRC IT Rooms opening hours from Tuesday 17th September to Friday 20th December are as follows:

The Library is staffed from 8.30 am – 8.00 pm weekdays and 11.00 am to 6.00 pm at the weekends. A Security Officer is on duty outside of these hours.
Just to remind you that the Guildford centre, including the Library, will be closed for the Bank Holiday on Monday 6th May.
In the lead up to and during the examinations in June, the weekend opening hours of the Library and IT Rooms in the LRC will be extended as follows:
19 & 20 May, 26 & 27 May, 2 & 3 June, 9 & 10 June, 16 & 17 June:
9.00am – 7.00pm
In addition, the Library and IT Rooms in the LRC will be open on both Bank Holidays as follows:

The Library and LRC IT Rooms will be open from 11am until 5pm on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th May, but will be closed on Bank Holiday Monday, 7th May.
