On behalf of the Library team welcome, to new and returning students.
The Library offers a wide range of print and electronic resources. Electronic resources can be found via the My Library page on ELITE (ELITE > My Library)
We subscribe to all the major legal databases (including LexisLibrary, Westlaw and Lawtel) and these can be accessed from any PC with an internet connection. To access them simply click on the name of the database from within ELITE (ELITE > My Library > Databases) and use your usual College username and password.
If you want to brush up your legal research skills there are various options available to you in the form of i-Guides a series of 10 minute online tutorials (again available from the My Library tab on ELITE). The i-Guides cover a range of subjects including: starting online research, finding and updating legislation online to name but two.
In the Research Support section on the My Library page, you’ll also find the answers to ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ (FAQs) on Legal Research and a series of Legal Research Guides which include Legal Research Sources:
- ‘Which to choose’
- ‘Effective electronic research’
- Various guides on using specific electronic and hard copy resources which are available to you at the College.
In the eResources section we’ve grouped together some of the most useful online resources by course and by subject. So if you’re looking for an e-resource relating to your LPC Property law course or your GDL Land Law course, for example, try the Course Links list. Alternatively if you’re looking for an online resource relating to a topic such as ‘Current Awareness’ or ‘Parliament’ look for a link in the Subject Links list.
In the Library Resources section you will find links to the Library Catalogue and Your Library Account, and links to eTextbook support.
